APPLY ONLINE THROUGH RAVENNA

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton! Our application for the 2024-25 academic year opens on September 1, 2023. To learn more about the process, please review the step-by-step instructions by grade level, below.

Note: The application process begins by creating a Ravenna account profile. You can view and track deadlines for every required piece of the Sacred Heart application through a convenient checklist on the Ravenna portal. Please note the deadlines listed within each step as they do vary between grade levels. A successful application will have every item checked off as “complete” once processed by our Admission Team.

STEP 1

Explore SHS Online

September – December 5, 2023*

Explore Sacred Heart Schools virtually to learn what makes our community, “the second happiest place on earth!"

Browse the admission site to learn more about our Mission & the Montessori Preschool Program.
Sign up for our SHS Admission Newsletter to stay up to date on the latest information about offerings this year.
Login to Ravenna to register for an optional virtual Mission & Philosophy Info Session.

*December Update: SHS is no longer accepting applications to Preschool for the 2024-25 academic year.

STEP 2

Begin the Application Process

By January 9, 2024

A child must meet the age requirement below by May 31st, 2024 in order to be an applicant to the corresponding program/grade level.

Preschool, Year 1 (PS1) = 3 years old
Preschool, Year 2 (PS2) = 4 years old

The following required steps/forms must be submitted, completed or scheduled through Ravenna by the January 9th deadline to confirm your application to Sacred Heart Schools.

Preliminary application form*
In-person Parent/Guardian Tour
Parent/Guardian statement
Preschool Assessment Video
Student Classroom Visit
Supplemental documents: Teacher Evaluations (Note: This requirement is waived for children who have yet to attend school. SHS will not accept additional letters of recommendation into a student’s application file).

*Please note: if the application fee presents a financial hardship, please contact admission@shschools.org to request a waiver.

STEP 3

(Optional) Apply for Tuition Assistance

By February 1, 2024

We welcome all families who are interested to submit a Clarity application. To learn more about the process, visit Tuition & Affordability.
