Sacred Heart Schools Atherton offers a variety of exciting summer enrichment opportunities for students in Preschool through Grade 8. Our program features three weeklong morning and afternoon sessions beginning June 9, 2025.

    Tomie dePaolo BooksGrades 1-3Mary Nadine KaneSpend a week reading, exploring, and learning with books by author and illustrator Tomie dePaola. Students will practice predicting, sequencing, classifying, organizing data, and analyzing conflict resolution between characters. During class time we will work with Tomie dePaola classics, including, Strega Nonna while learning the importance of following directions, The Cloud Book while learning about weather and folklore, and The Art Lesson while exploring individuality and creativity among others.     SewingGrades 3-5Nicolette StewartSpend a creative and relaxing week designing and hand sewing a beautiful patchwork cushion. We will start the week learning traditional patchwork styles and creating a personal design. Next we will cut our fabrics and learn basic hand sewing techniques. Once our cushion is complete we will add some design flourishes, such as hand sewn rosettes or bows, to make it extra special! Sewing helps to develope patience, fine-motor, and Growth Mondaset skills along the way!
    ScrapbookingGrades 3-5Jen Delgado and Christine ChooIn this hands-on scrapbooking class, students will discover the joy of preserving memories through art and creativity! Using colorful paper, stickers, stamps, and more, children will create their very own personalized scrapbooks filled with photos, drawings, and little mementos. They’ll learn how to design pages with fun layouts, explore different artistic techniques like stamping and cutting, and develop their storytelling skills as they showcase their favorite moments and dreams.
    DronesGrades 6-8Edward Murphy & Ben HoweJoin us for an exciting week of flying and building Drones! By exploring the physics of flight and motion through engineering and design, students will discover the principles of physics and engineering through hands-on glides and dives throughout the week. In addition, students will learn to navigate complicated obstacle courses, and work as a team to work through several complicated challenges and competitions!
    DissectionGrades 5 - 8Mariette BaconDo you wonder how our body's systems work so well? First of all, this is not a class for someone who gets easily grossed out - sorry! In this class, you will work with a team of students to dissect two specimens. We will start with a cow's eye, and then learn from a small mammal. All are properly preserved for the purpose of education. Together, we will study the major systems (circulatory, respiratory, digestive, to name a few) that make us a part of the mammal animal group.
    Service CampGrades 6-8Torri Horovitz (support)/ Kelly Power (lead)Helping Hands MS Service Camp ~ Cooking, Creating, and getting your hands dirty! You will be supporting local outreach and campus programs by preparing meals for St. Church and Sandwiches on Sunday along with working in the campus garden and farm.

    Math Facts Boot CampGrades 3-5Nicolette StewartMuti-sensory math! Students who need to strengthen their multiplication math facts will benefit from the multi-modal style of learning in this class. This individualised program will pinpoint your child's area of need and focus on that. Through games, songs, skits, quizzes, and puzzles, your child will develop skills and strategies to carry into the next school year.
    In the Business of Snow ConesGrades 3-5Hannah BreckenridgeCome and chill out with the coolest project of the summer! Over five exciting days, you'll team up with your classmates to create your very own snow cone business. From designing eye-catching signs to scooping delicious treats, you'll learn teamwork, creativity, and the basics of running a business—all while having a blast!

Our camp will teach you the outdoor skills you need to survive in the wilderness.     Pre-Algebra Skills CampGrades 6-7Torri HorovitzFor Rising 8th graders who want to spend a little extra time preparing for Algebra 1. The week will include variety of fun review and some "Preview" topics. You will leave the week with a set of reference materials in a binder that you can refer back to in the fall. As a group we will also decide on a few game/camp style activities like making ice cream in a bag to round out our week together!
    Futuristic Fashion DesignGrades 6-8Cristina Paredes-MurrellIn this hands-on class, students will dive into the world of fashion prototyping by designing and building their own innovative clothing pieces. From sketching their initial ideas to constructing physical prototypes, they’ll explore the creative process step by step. Students will explore functional and futuristic designs while experimenting with recyclable and accessible resources. No prior experience is needed—just creativity and a passion for fashion!
    Wood CarvingGrades 6-8Edward MurphyJoin us in learning and practicing the fine art of Wood Carving. From Whittling to Relief, learn the tools and cuts to take any plain ole piece of wood into something magical and hand crafted! Students will enjoy working with a variety of tools including Gouges, Chisels, and Knives over the course week to complete their very own treasure! Avoid the cuts and bring home a whole new skill!

    Building an Interactive Friendly MonsterGrades 3-5Ben HoweBuilding An Interactive Friendly Monster: Ever wanted a stuffed animal that responds to you? Then this is your chance to build an adorable interactive friendly monster with Mr. Howe in the HUB! We will learn about e-textiles, sewing, basic coding using Ardunio (C/C++), and electronics as you build a friendly monster that lights up, sings, and interacts with you using the Lilypad Arduino system. (No prior programming experience required.)
    Biomes and AdaptationsGrades 3-5Austin FrenchJoin us for five exciting days of being wildlife biologists! We will travel around the world to discover incredible animals and learn how they survive in their unique biomes. We will put our new knowledge to use with lots of games, hands-on projects, and notes taken down in a handy Biologist Guide!

We will also make some 'tiny accessories' like scarves, hats, tennis raquets AND build some Wooble homes out of shoe boxes and other materials! NO PRIOR SKILLS required!

This class will offer you the opportunity to search and observe many of the plants and animals that live on our campus. We will spend some time on the farm, however, we will also explore the smaller animals that play an important role on our campus. We will learn about the plants in our gardens and on other parts of our campus. This class will involve using a journal to record our discoveries and a fair amount of walking (around our campus).

  • Camp Withdrawal

    Summer Camp Cancellation Policy
    Students may cancel their enrollment at any time before summer camps begin. Refund eligibility is based on the following deadlines:
    • Full Refund: Cancellations made on or before Friday, May 2, 2025, will receive a full refund.
    • Partial Refund: Cancellations made between May 3 and May 16, 2025, will receive a 50% refund.
    • No Refund: Cancellations received after May 16, 2025, are not eligible for a refund. However, students may transfer to another available camp if space permits.

    All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to be considered.
