Welcome and thank you for your interest in Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton! Our application process for the 2026-27 academic year opens in late August 2025. To learn more about the process, please review the step-by-step instructions by grade level, below.

Note: The application process begins by creating a Ravenna account profile. You can view and track deadlines for every required piece of the Sacred Heart application through a convenient checklist on the Ravenna portal. Please note the deadlines listed within each step as they do vary between grade levels. A successful application will have every required item checked off as “complete” once processed by our Admission Team.

Browse the admission site to learn more about our Mission & the Lower School Program.
Sign up for our SHS Admission Newsletter to stay up to date on the latest information about offerings this year.
Login to Ravenna to register for an optional virtual Mission & Philosophy Info Session.

STEP 2

Begin the Application Process

Sep-Dec (all materials due by January 8, 2026)

This season, we are hosting a variety of required and optional virtual and in person events. Parent Info Sessions and Parent Tours allow prospective applicant parents to learn about the unique and special qualities of a Sacred Heart experience.

The following steps/forms must be completed through Ravenna by the January 9th deadline to confirm your application to Sacred Heart Schools.

Virtual Parent Info Session - a required first step!
Preliminary Application Form + fee*
Parent/Guardian Written Statement
Parent/Guardian Video Questionnaire
Assessment Video - Kindergarten only
Student Assessment Visit - Kindergarten Jan/Feb & 1st - 5th grades TBD/as needed
Teacher Evaluation(s)

Age Requirement: A child must meet the age requirement below by May 31st, 2025 in order to be an applicant to the corresponding program/grade level. Note: This requirement is firm.

Kindergarten = 5 years old
1st = 6 years old
2nd = 7 years old
3rd = 8 years old
4th = 9 years old
5th = 10 years old

*Please note: if the application fee presents a financial hardship, please contact admission@shschools.org to request a waiver.

STEP 3

(Optional) Apply for Tuition Assistance

By January 8, 2026

We welcome all families who are interested in tuition assistance to submit a Clarity application. To learn more about the process, visit Tuition & Affordability.
