Arts Support

The SHP Fine Arts Booster Club is a volunteer organization that fosters camaraderie and school spirit within the performing and visual arts community at Sacred Heart.

Working in concert with the SHS administration and Parents’ Association liaisons, the Boosters seek ways to benefit Sacred Heart students by enhancing the quality of the fine arts programs, expanding available resources, and supporting student opportunities to perform or participate in national or international competitions and concerts, as well as attend productions or workshops, visit professional venues, or otherwise travel for additional arts opportunities.

9th Annual James B. Everitt Chili Cook-Off & Cupcake Bake-off

The annual fundraiser for the Arts at SHP. This popular event is held in October and is filled with music and dance performances led by our current students. Enjoy the festivities and vote for or partake in the Chili Cook- off and/or Cupcake Bake-off. A fun-filled community event not to be missed!

Started in 2015 by the Fine Arts Boosters, the James B. Everitt Chili Cook-off held each fall features teams of family, friends, and faculty/staff across all grades in a tasty competition to support the SHP (GR 9-12) Fine Arts Program.

Added to the Chili Cook-Off in 2018, the Cupcake Bake-Off allows bakers of all ages to compete for bragging rights while providing dessert to all those attending the Chili Cook-Off.

What We Do

The Fine Arts Boosters (FAB) is a Parents’ Association Club established in 2011. Our mission is to support the Fine Arts programs at Sacred Heart Preparatory, including those in the classroom and those that are extracurricular. Our support is given in many ways, including financial, event and activity coordination, promoting visibility for and participation in the arts, and program parent support.

Our goal is to provide a dynamic community for new and current Sacred Heart parents whose children are interested or active in the arts - working to build a parent community around the arts as a whole, as well as in individual areas of concentration.
Financial Support

By participating in and promoting the "Shop with SHS" program, and through our annual Chili Cook-off fundraiser, we assist in generating earnings which in turn may be used by the fine arts programs to enhance and/or provide additional resources for both classroom and extracurricular experience.

Additionally, our Fine Arts Boosters (FAB) assists the fine arts programs in limited-use fundraising efforts toward special activities, performance tours, or resources, as needed.
Events & Activities Coordination

The primary event held by FAB is the annual James B. Everitt Chili Cook-off and Cupcake Bake-off fundraiser, held early in the school year each fall. This popular event draws participation across campus, with teams headed by families, faculty, and and various student programs.

Throughout the school year, FAB provides a forum for easy coordination of individual and combined events in the SHP Fine Arts department. In addition, FAB assists in the coordination of campus calendars, provides support and advertisement for student arts activities, etc., as needed.
Promoting the Arts @ SHS

Throughout the school year, we assist in increasing the visibility of fine arts on campus, with a goal of building awareness and participation from the student community and support from the greater SHP community of parents, teachers, staff, and alumni.

As boosters, we also promote support for the fine arts events at school-wide events, such as the Christmas Boutique (Fine Arts spirit gear shop), Parents’ Association Meetings, in the school parent newsletter, at various performance events (such as the Holiday Treat), and by maintaining a Fine Arts Boosters webpage.
